1. is the Lap Counter which displays the current lap and number of laps in a race. In this example, it is the first lap of a three-lap race.

2. is showing Race Time ie. the elapsed time in a race.

3. displays Lap Time, the elapsed time on the current lap.

4. the Race Position Indicator displays your position in the race relative to the number of cars in the race. In this example, you are fifth place out of 20 cars.

5. indicates the Mini-Map display that is an overhead map image of the track you are on. Use it to see what corners and straightaways that you are approaching the track.

6. points to Gear Indicator indicating the gear your car is in.

7. is showing you the Tachometer's 'analog' display of the player car engine's current RPM's (Rotations Per Minute).

8. points out the Speedometer with its digital readout of the player car's current speed.

9. shows you the Tire Damage Indicator which indicates the amount of wear suffered by the car's tires. Damage is displayed on a green to red spectrum. Tire damage can be repaired by making a pit stop.
